I’m sharing with you some of my favourite, basic skincare products that just happen to be budget-friendly and super affordable! All of these are high quality despite the low price and everything is under $20. I have something for all skin types! I’m sticking to skincare basics with this video and will most likely do another one with my favourite masks and other actives and special treatments! Some of these items have remained favorites for years, standing the test of time while there are a few newer discoveries too.

I had a few lighting/filming glitches so excuse any inconsistency in quality!

I’ve been using the CosRx Good Morning cleanser for a few months now based on your recommendation, and I love it. It’s been effective in combating breakouts, but not at all harsh.

    Great info!

Which face oil is best for normal to dry skin for a beautiful glow throughout the day?

I’m 38 and my glow has diminished.

I use NeoGenesis Recovery Serum (human stem cells) and a trace minerals mist I make.

I need a good day/night face oil/moisturizer to add in.

  • Hi Rene. Which vitamin c product would you recommend from the ordinary? I have reactive skin.

You are my skincare guru! I wish I had watched this video before, because I just placed a Ordinary order. Would you mind doing a video just dedicated to “The Ordinary?” I am so intrigued by their simple ingredients and the price blows me away. Love this video!!

Hi. And have just found your website and just love your info. Unfortunately I am in Cape Town so many of your products mentioned, we do not get making it difficult to source similar or like. We do. Any many of the higher end brands and they then become so expensive.

hi. i thought i was buying the rose edition of secret key, as you've suggested, but got the original. do you like the original essence? should i keep this one??

You are a gem! The only reason I didn't hit the subscribe button within the first few minutes of watching is that I was so engrossed in what you were saying and taking notes. You've obviously really done your research, and are very knowledgeable about ingredients and brands that I'd never heard of. And this is obviously a minor issue, but most of those products are so beautifully and simplistically packaged, and seem more expensive than they are. I'm guessing lower priced brands simplify their packaging to cut costs, but I much prefer that clean aesthetic anyway.

It's so reassuring to know that you can get high quality skincare without breaking the bank. There's just too much hype around these astronomically expensive luxury brands. You start believing it and thinking, "Oh well, I'll never be able to afford a $60 cleanser or a $200 serum, I guess I'll be compromising my skin." But it's all BS.

Oh man, this will be my shopping list for next payday. I recently came across a host of K Beauty products on an international site, and the prices were so affordable. I've been trying out a new toner, eye cream, cleanser (the lightweight 'the face shop' you mentioned funny enough!), sheet mask and lip balm for the last 2-3 weeks, and I have to say, I can understand why this market is huge.. I've been impressed so far. No negative reactions so far. So happy I've come across this video, hopefully the website I shopped from will feature most of these, ha!

I don't know if you've already done a video on how skincare acids (over use of them) can make your skin more sensitive or damaged, and the signs to look out for, but it would be amazing if you did xo Hug from Australia

Thankyou so much! So well researched. I haven't really bought any Asian skincare since the missha BB cream was popular and I explored their line. I'm definitely going to try the toners and serums for normal to oily for my combo skin. You seem so excited to be able to get your dry skin to function normally now
